International Legends of Diving Festival

One of the attractions for the weekend was the Landing Vehicle, Tracked (LVT) in this series of photos as it enters the quarry from the swimming beach. This LVT was used in the filming of a fall release movie with Clint Eastwood called the Flags of Our Fathers, a story of Iwo Jima. This is one of six known LVTs in operation.

Gy. Sgt. Don Preston (right) from Detroit Retired USMC. He was a Drill Instructor at Parris Island. He and his wife Lisa are avid divers and often camp at the Quarry.
